Yes, you read it right. Today the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has opened it’s brand new King Abdullah University of Science on the Red Sea. On campus woman will be allowed to drive and they will also be permitted to wander outdoors without wearing a bodybag, the so called “abaja”.

Finally, the west has won.

Het woord van 2009

Bijbaanbeunhaas

Bigger is not always Better

Longer not Better

This coffin on wheels was the reason for some party goers being a bit more than fashionably late in Hollywood this weekend.

War can be fatal, but don’t tell the People

Joshua Bernard

Joshua Bernard was already a veteran of Iraq yet his luck ran out in Afghanistan on August 14th of this year. The photo of the dying Marine taken by AP’s Julia Jacobson has caused the necessary controversy. Defence secretary Gates has strongly objected to the publishing of the photo however it did finally manage to see the light of day.
Although many stand screaming in favour of our fragile first amendment others take a more conservative stand. It looks like the debate on the publishing of dead soldiers is turning in favour of the former as barely any dead soldiers have made a media appearence under the reign of our last cowboy president.
Every fighting soldier deserves due respect but in order to prevent future casualties people need to be informed. The image presented to the public has offen been one of a “clean” war. This is both hypocritical and patronizing.

Defence of the Realm has a different yet very inforamtive view on the issue.

Thank you George Bush for this Half Jarhead

“I’ll be gone”

Eindelijk bevestiging: Drinken is goed voor je

Bierrrrrrrtje?

Americans account for 15% of World Population, in Weight

Eating habits make Americans three times as heavy as normal human being

Is oil the real reason for the Iraq invasion? Do Americans use too much energy? The first question will always remain debatable, unless of course you ask the always subtle, intelligent and courteous Dick Cheney (just forget he shot one of his friends in the face with a shotgun). I’m not about to ask mister Cheney for his opinion but he does however belong the the fast growing percentage of overweight Americans. Thanks to the new hippopotamus like beings (Hippopotamus Sapiens?) obese citizens of the States now account for 15 percent of the world population, counting in human flesh that is.

In absolute terms the United States with its 300 million inhabitants constitutes some .05 percent of the world population. As many Americans are eating so much fa(s)t food on a daily basis they now weigh, on average, about three times as much as a normal human being. William McClinton, spokesman for the ANO
(American Nutrition Organization) says that not only are Americans decreasing their lifespan they are also creating a bad reputation abroad. In Europe for example it is already common knowledge that if you see an obese person walking around it must be an American.

Fast food is consumed by the truck load by the average American family. Polls conducted by the Health Institute of North America (HINA) show that most American teenagers cannot tell the difference between processed and organic foods. Almost half of those interviewed thought vegetables are bad for your health and were invented by the communists as a tasteless dietary supplement for the poor.

As the saying goes “The bigger the better”. Only in America.
